Burseara Graveolens, commonly known as Palo Santo or Holy Stick, is an all-natural aromatic incense that has been used for centuries by the Incas and indigenous peoples of the Andes. It has a rich history as a spiritual remedy for purification, cleansing, and warding off evil spirits and misfortune. Its delicate citrus scent with hints of frankincense, a close relative, is often used in sacred plant spirit ceremonies by shamans.
Our Palo Santo is sustainably wild harvested in Ecuador from naturally fallen trees and branches that have rested for 4-10 years before being collected.
Burning instructions: Simply light one end of the Palo Santo stick over an open flame at a 45 degree angle. Let it burn for 30 seconds to one minute before blowing out the flame. Allow the stick to smolder as you move throughout the desired space to clear negative energy. When finished, place the smudge stick in a ceramic or glass dish.
